After the usual rituals, the key is to pacify the debilitated planet and its ruling deity by chanting its seed mantra/Gayatri mantra and worshipping the chosen deity. A havan (fire sacrifice) using samidha (soil) appropriate to the planet is performed; a tenth of the chanting is offered. Worship the deity of the planet's exalted sign and donating a corresponding gemstone/item. The estimated duration is approximately 2.5 hours.
