This Privacy Policy explains how Jyotish Samadhan, operating the website shrimahakaldham.com ("Shree Mahakaal Dham", "we", "us"), collects, uses, stores and protects information about you when you visit the website or book a puja, yagya or paath through it. By using the website you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

• Booking details you give us: name, mobile number, email address, postal address, and the details needed to perform the puja on your behalf — such as the name(s) of the person(s) for whom the puja is booked, gotra, date/time/place of birth and your sankalp (intention).
• Account details: if you register, your login credentials and OTP verification data.
• Payment information: payments are processed by our payment gateway partner. We do not store your card number, UPI PIN or net-banking credentials. We receive only a transaction reference, amount and status.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device information and pages visited, collected automatically through server logs and cookies.

2. How we use your information

• To confirm, schedule and perform the puja you booked, and to share the sankalp details with the officiating pandit.
• To send booking confirmations, puja date/time updates, photos or videos of the puja, and prasad dispatch information by SMS, WhatsApp, email or phone.
• To process payments and refunds and to maintain accounting records required by law.
• To respond to your enquiries and to improve the website and our services.
• To send you information about festivals, special pujas and offers — only if you have opted in; you may opt out at any time.

3. Sharing of information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with: (a) the pandits and temple staff who perform your puja, to the extent needed for the ritual; (b) our payment gateway, SMS/WhatsApp and email service providers, and courier partners for prasad delivery; and (c) government or law-enforcement authorities where required by law.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

The website uses cookies to keep you logged in, remember your booking session and understand how the site is used. Third-party services such as analytics or the payment gateway may set their own cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; some features of the website (such as login and booking) may then not work correctly.

5. Data retention and security

We keep booking and payment records for as long as required for accounting and legal purposes (generally up to 8 years under Indian law) and delete or anonymise other personal data when it is no longer needed. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards — including HTTPS encryption and restricted access — to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your rights

You may ask us to view, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop sending you promotional messages, by contacting us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time, subject to any record-keeping obligations under law.

7. Children

The website is intended for use by adults (18 years and above). A parent or guardian may book a puja on behalf of a child; we collect the child's details only for performing that puja.

We may update this policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.

9. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of India, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
